The Natchez Trace

Nashville to Natchez, 444 miles

Four hundred forty-four miles of parkway over a path worn by bison, Chickasaw and Choctaw travelers, and the boatmen who walked home from Natchez. The tour runs the way the mileposts count down: from the Tennessee hills, across the Tennessee River and through Chickasaw and Choctaw country, to the sunken roads of the loess and the bluff at Natchez.
